Job summary
Levy UK & Ireland in London is seeking a Sales & Event Manager to own client relationships from enquiry to delivery and drive catering opportunities.
You will be a confident communicator with strong IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, able to plan and execute diverse events while maintaining accurate forecasts and documentation.
Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; a hospitality or catering qualification is desirable.
- Experience in sales, events, hospitality or catering.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, email and ideally databases and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to communicate at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness, with an understanding of sales, costs, profitability and opportunities to upsell.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of people.
- Confident, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Calm and solutions-focused under pressure, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and manage changing priorities.
- Passion for quality and great service, with a creative approach and flexibility to work event-driven hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships from initial enquiry through to event delivery.
- Sell and maximise catering opportunities through upselling and cross-selling.
- Plan, organise and deliver exceptional catering experiences for a wide range of events.
- Create accurate proposals, quotes and event documentation.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Be present at key live events to support clients and resolve any issues.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, client records and financial information.
- Identify new opportunities and contribute ideas that improve the client experience and grow the business.
