Sales Engineer (Material Science)

Are you a Mechanical Engineer or similar, having previous sales experience, ideally coming from a background within Material Science or a related field, ready for a new role within a new subsidiary of an extremely successful and established corporation?

Do you want to work as a Mechanical/Sales Engineer for a rapidly growing company, playing a pivotal role in driving the company's growth with opportunities for progression as well as skill development and growth of understanding within the field?

On offer for the successful Mechanical/Sales Engineer or similar is the opportunity to be trained and develop their skills through in-house training, also the opportunity to develop their confidence through mastering their sales techniques and earn a competitive commission.

In this role, the successful Sales Engineer or similar will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks. You will be responsible for both account management as well as new business development. In addition, you will also be responsible for technical quotation as well as customer communication. On top of this, you will also be responsible for CRM system maintenance alongside forecasting. Finally, you will be responsible for interdepartmental collaboration and liaison, as well as networking and events as and when needed.

The ideal Mechanical/Sales Engineer or similar will have previous working experience in a Mechanical Engineering role, and ideally, but not essentially, previous sales experience. In addition, you will either have a knowledge of/come from a background within Material Science or a related field. On top of this, you will have strong organisational, communicational and analytical skills, alongside being computer literate, with impressive phone etiquette. Finally, you will hold a full, valid UK driver's license.
