VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting for a Sales & Applications Engineer on behalf of a leading precision engineering company with a long-established reputation for quality and innovation across the aerospace and automotive sectors.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with CNC machining or metal cutting experience who's ready to step into a customer-facing role, supporting existing clients while developing new business opportunities across Northern Ireland.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative and highly technical team, you'll:

  • Support and grow business with existing customers while identifying new opportunities
  • Visit customer sites across Northern Ireland, providing expert technical advice
  • Develop and optimise machining processes for improved efficiency
  • Run tooling trials and demonstrations, collaborating with technical teams locally and in the UK
  • Prepare technical quotations and recommend machining techniques for specific jobs
  • Ensure quality control and provide troubleshooting support where required
The Ideal Candidate
  • Background in CNC machining, programming or metal cutting (ideal)
  • Ideally an apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing (not essential)
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software advantageous
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Based in Northern Ireland
