Overview

£45,000 – £50,000 + Commission (£15k–£20k OTE) + BMW Company Car + Benefits

  • 39-hour week – Full-time, permanent role – Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–1:30pm (some flexibility)

  • Well-established, family-owned engineering business specialising in the design & manufacture of filtration systems for industrial and commercial clients.

  • Strong reputation for improving factory efficiency, safety and environmental performance, supported by a hands-on and supportive leadership team.

Your background as a Sales Engineer
  • This would suit a Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, or a Project Engineer who enjoys a bit of sales / wants to pivot.

  • A commercially minded individual with a background in engineering, preferably within the same industry or similar (industrial equipment / dust extraction / air filtration etc).

  • Comfortable working in a consultative, solution-led sales environment

  • Confident engaging with customers on-site and understanding technical requirements

  • Strong communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach

  • Full UK driving licence (ideally no points)

Sales Engineer responsibilities
  • Manage predominantly inbound and warm sales enquiries (minimal cold calling)

  • Work closely with customers to understand requirements and convert enquiries into orders.

  • Visit customer sites to survey, measure and specify engineered solutions

  • Liaise with internal engineering and service teams to deliver the right solution

This Sales Engineer role will mainly cover the Midlands / Southwest / possibly parts of Wales. The offices are based in Leicester, so we are ideally looking for someone based in Loughborough, Hinckley, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Burton upon Trent, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and surrounding areas.
