Job description

About The Role

We're creating a new role to build and run sales enablement for our commercial organisation, with an initial focus on a fairly junior, high-growth sales team. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants to own onboarding, skills development and continuous learning for salespeople selling subscription data, intelligence and event/membership products into private markets.

You’ll sit within Revenue Operations, reporting to the Head of Revenue Operations, and work closely with sales leadership, marketing and product to make sure every seller has the knowledge, skills, content and confidence to sell PEI's platforms effectively — from their first week through to becoming a top performer.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has run enablement or training in a B2B sales environment before and wants to build the function from the ground up, with real ownership over what "good" looks like.

What you’ll do
  • Onboarding: Design and deliver a structured onboarding programme for new sales hires, covering product knowledge, our markets (private equity, credit, infrastructure, real estate etc.), sales process, leveraging sales tools (CRM and sales tech stack) and core selling skills — getting new starters productive faster.
  • Continuous learning: Build an ongoing learning curriculum for the wider sales team — not just a one-off onboarding, but a cadence of refreshers, skill-building sessions, and role‑specific development paths for reps at different stages of their career.
  • Sales skills coaching: Design and run training on core sales skills — prospecting, discovery, objection handling, negotiation, storytelling with data — tailored to a junior, developing team.
  • Content & playbooks: Create and maintain playbooks, battle cards, call guides and other enablement materials in partnership with product marketing, and keep them current as our platforms and messaging evolve.
  • Platform ownership: Own our sales enablement platform (e.g. Showpad, Allego, or similar) end‑to‑end — administration, content structure, rollout and adoption — making sure it’s the single, trusted home for training, content and coaching for the sales team.
  • Tools & systems: Manage the wider learning platform / LMS and any adjacent enablement tooling, ensuring content is easy to find, up to date and actually used.
  • Performance partnership: Work with sales managers to identify skill gaps from pipeline and call data, and translate those into targeted training interventions.
  • Measurement: Define and track enablement metrics (e.g. ramp time, adoption of methodology, quota attainment by cohort) and report on impact to the Head of Revenue Operations and sales leadership.
  • Cross‑functional alignment: Partner with marketing, product and revenue operations colleagues to ensure enablement reflects current positioning, pricing and product releases.
About You
Requirements
What we’re looking for
  • Experience running sales training, enablement or sales onboarding in a B2B environment — subscription, media, data/intelligence or SaaS backgrounds are all relevant.
  • A track record of designing and delivering in person training programmes (supported by digital material) that measurably improved seller performance or ramp time.
  • Comfortable working with a junior/developing sales team — patient, structured, and good at breaking things down without being condescending.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills — confident running a room and giving direct, constructive feedback.
  • Hands‑on experience owning a sales enablement platform such as Showpad, Allego, Highspot or Seismic — you’ll be the platform admin/owner, not just a user, so experience configuring content, learning paths and reporting is important. Familiarity with a CRM system is also expected.
  • Data‑literate: comfortable using sales performance data to prioritise where training will have the most impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you’ll be creating a lot of content as well as delivering it.
  • Self‑starter who’s comfortable building a function from scratch, with strong stakeholder management skills across sales, marketing and product.
