Position: Sales Director Southern Europe

Location: Barcelona, Madrid with remote with travel

Its platform acts as a helpful copilot for doctors, smoothing the fertility journey with greater accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.

Role Overview

The Sales Director Southern Europe will drive new business development, manage key customer relationships, and grow revenue across key Southern European markets, for example Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece. This role requires a results oriented sales leader with strong experience in biotechnology or medical devices.

The Sales Director will focus on execution, building and managing customer pipelines, working closely with third parties such as EMRs, and ensuring that revenue goals are achieved. Over time they will be responsible for managing the commercial team in Southern Europe and contributing to the wider European commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
  • Achieve annual sales targets across Southern Europe through direct sales, any reporting team and distributor partnerships.
  • Identify, engage and close new business opportunities with fertility clinics, groups and networks.
  • Prioritise together with the commercial and development teams which EMRs FertilAI will partner with in the region.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and provide timely pipeline updates and forecasts.
Customer and Market Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, clinic decision makers and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with marketing to develop regional campaigns, events and educational activities to drive product adoption. This includes selecting and driving operations for events such as ESHRE and key national fertility congresses.
  • Collect and relay customer feedback to inform product development and regional market strategy.
Collaboration and Compliance
  • Work closely with internal teams in marketing, clinical, product and operations to align sales execution with overall company strategy.
  • Ensure all commercial activity complies with local regulations and company standards, including ISO 13485.
  • Support post sales customer success and retention initiatives.
Experience and Skills
Required
  • At least 7 years of sales experience within fertility biotechnology, medical devices or third party services.
  • Proven success selling complex solutions to fertility clinics in Southern Europe.
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding quotas in capital equipment and or SaaS commercial models.
  • Strong relationship building skills across clinical, operational and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing CRM systems such as Monday CRM, HubSpot or an equivalent platform.
  • Fluent English plus at least one major Southern European language, for example Spanish or Italian.
Preferred
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Experience in the fertility or ART market.
  • MBA or advanced business qualification.
Personal Attributes
  • Results oriented and entrepreneurial.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Comfortable with travel in the region, approximately 30 to 40 percent of the time.
