The Sales Director for Banking is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy for Equifax's largest and most strategic vertical in the UK. The core purpose of this role is to drive sustainable, profitable revenue growth by leading a team of high-performing sales professionals and cultivating deep, strategic relationships at the C-level within the UK's leading banks and financial institutions.

What You Will Do
  • Strategic Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of banking Account Managers, fostering a culture of accountability and client centricity. You will develop the vertical strategy, set clear performance expectations and KPIs, and coach team members to enhance their skills and career progression.
  • Revenue Growth & Value Realisation: Take full ownership of the Banking vertical's sales quota, including targets for new business, cross-selling, and up-selling. You will drive the creation of a robust sales pipeline and personally lead large-scale, complex commercial negotiations to ensure profitable and sustainable deal structures.
  • C-Level Client & Market Engagement: Cultivate and maintain a network of strong, trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers across Tier 1 and challenger banks. You will act as the Executive Sponsor for strategic client accounts and represent Equifax as a thought leader at industry events and conferences.
  • Market Expertise: Serve as the internal expert on the UK Banking sector, maintaining a deep understanding of market trends, the competitive landscape, and regulatory changes like Consumer Duty.
What Experience You Need
  • Extensive and current experience in sales within the UK banking industry, with at least many years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • A proven track record of selling high-value, complex data solutions and technology platforms within the banking industry.
  • Strategic leadership experience with the ability to build and sustain high-performing teams.
  • A profound understanding of the UK banking ecosystem, including its key business drivers, operational challenges (e.g., affordability, fraud, digital onboarding), and the current regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a natural ability to build trust and influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven resilience and performance in driving revenue and managing complex pricing negotiations with long sales cycles.
  • The motivation and flexibility to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
What Could Set You Apart
  • Strong experience presenting to and influencing complex strategic C-Level executive relationships.
  • Proven success navigating and collaborating effectively within a Global Matrix Organisation.
