We are looking for an experienced Sales Director to lead and grow our National Accounts and Regional Sales Teams. This is a senior, high-profile role with responsibility for driving sales, margin, and profitability, while shaping long-term strategic partnerships with key customers and influencing commercial strategy at the highest level.

You will lead two core teams: one managing existing national accounts and contracts, and the other focused on generating new business through regional and field-based sales. This is an exceptional opportunity to have a direct impact on business growth, strengthen market share, and position the company as the partner of choice across its key categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of 40+ sales professionals through Head of Sales Managers, fostering accountability, performance, and a commercially driven culture to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue, margin, and market share across national accounts and regional territories.
  • Retain and expand key customer contracts, building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Oversee budgets, sales frameworks, and operational plans to ensure efficient and profitable team performance.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, finance, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Personally manage high-value client relationships where required, representing the business at the most senior levels.
  • Monitor sales performance, identify risks or opportunities, and ensure teams are delivering against strategic and operational objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, frameworks, and delegated authority.
Experience and Background
  • Proven senior sales leadership experience, ideally within food, drinks, food manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.
  • Track record of managing multiple teams and delivering measurable sales and margin growth.
  • Experience managing corporate and regional accounts, with a focus on long-term customer retention and strategic partnership development.
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking, able to set direction and translate it into actionable plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills, comfortable at executive level.
  • Financially literate, with experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
