Role Purpose
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in driving growth for SCC's UK Security Division by identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities. Working closely with Solution Specialists, Account Managers, and Vendor Partners, you will be responsible for generating high‑quality leads, creating initial engagement with customers, and booking discovery meetings that lead to incremental sales opportunities across SCC's security portfolio. This role focuses on identifying prospects for SCC's third‑party security solutions and services, supporting both new logo acquisition and growth within existing accounts. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding SCC's footprint across the UK through targeted outreach, market intelligence, and collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline Generation – Proactively identify, research, and engage new prospects within SCC's target markets, creating qualified opportunities that align with SCC's security offerings and revenue goals.
- Lead Qualification – Assess inbound and outbound leads to ensure strong fit and readiness, using structured qualification frameworks to deliver high‑quality opportunities to the sales team.
- Outreach and Engagement – Execute targeted outreach campaigns using phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage decision‑makers, book discovery calls, and build awareness of SCC's security capabilities.
- Collaboration and Handover – Work closely with Solution Specialists, Account Managers, and Vendor Managers to ensure a seamless transition from qualified lead to active opportunity.
- CRM Discipline – Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information in SCC's CRM (Sales Hub), tracking activity levels, lead progression, and pipeline metrics to support visibility and forecasting.
- Market and Product Awareness – Stay informed on key trends in cybersecurity, including market shifts, new technologies, and emerging customer challenges, to deliver relevant insights during prospect conversations.
- Vendor Alignment – Support co‑marketing and joint outreach activities with key security vendors, helping to identify and progress shared opportunities.
- Campaign Support – Collaborate with SCC's marketing team to execute follow‑up activity from campaigns, webinars, and events, maximising lead conversion and customer engagement.
- Performance and Growth – Consistently achieve monthly targets for qualified opportunities and meetings booked, contributing directly to the division's annual growth objectives.

Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in a sales, business development, or lead‑generation role – ideally within the cybersecurity, technology, or IT services sector.
- Proven success in creating qualified opportunities and supporting revenue growth through structured outreach and effective prospect engagement.
- Experience of positioning security solutions in relation to customer challenges and business outcomes.
- Background in engaging both enterprise and mid‑market customers, with an understanding of how priorities differ across sectors.
- Comfortable collaborating with vendor partners and marketing teams to run joint campaigns or follow‑up on shared leads.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and basic sales processes, including pipeline management and lead qualification.
- Confident communicator who can deliver compelling outreach messages and articulate value in both written and verbal form.
- Skilled in using phone, email, and LinkedIn to initiate conversations and secure discovery meetings.
- Possesses a structured approach to prospecting, building, and maintaining relationships at the early stages of the sales cycle.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to record, track, and report activity accurately within SCC's CRM.

Benefits & Compensation
Salary Package: £35,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid‑for volunteering days a year.
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday.
