Lead Buyer, New Product Development – Videojet (Veralto)

Remote: Hybrid — Remote or hybrid working. The position can be based in Huntingdon, UK or Nottingham, UK.

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join our team. In this role you will establish innovative procurement practices to strategically develop and sustainably source assigned commodities globally, ensuring long‑term supply for Veralto at world‑class levels of quality, delivery, and total cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate and take ownership of new product development procurement activities from early‑stage identification of market requirement through to product launch.
• Complete components planning and procurement (dock to stock), Suppliers on Board, Delivery and Cost targets met, and successful product planning hand‑off to Commodity Managers and Buyer‑planners.
• Collaborate and foster excellent relationships between suppliers, engineering and supply‑chain teams to support delivery of world‑class products.
• Represent procurement in the cross‑functional project team to deliver new products on time and on cost.
• Provide regular reports and updates on project status including cost and delivery.
• Interface with recent acquisitions to develop and implement Global Procurement best practices for product development innovation and VAVE.
• Develop and manage the prototype supply base and end‑of‑life supply base.
• Negotiate favorable commercial terms for Videojet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (technical background desirable).
• 4+ years of professional procurement experience (including supply chain, operations or project management) with a global outlook.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Lean Manufacturing certifications desirable.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (may exceed). Travel regions may include Europe, US and parts of Asia or South America.
