Job summary

NetApp, Inc. is seeking a Commission Analyst 2 to join the Global Sales Compensation team. The role supports administration, validation, and continuous improvement of sales incentive programs across geographies and sales orgs.

Strong analytics, familiarity with incentive processes, and experience with commission systems and large datasets are required. You will work with Sales Operations, Finance, Payroll, HR, Revenue Operations and IT to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant commission

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Finance, Revenue Operations, or related analytical roles.

Responsibilities

  • Validate commission calculations, earnings, quotas, credits, and attainment results for payment accuracy.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual commission processing, data validation, and payout audits.
  • Investigate and resolve compensation inquiries, disputes, and escalations within SLAs.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure timely commission payments.
  • Review and validate manual adjustments, exceptions, and off-cycle payments.
  • Analyze sales and commission data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain compensation reports, dashboards, and recurring metrics.
  • Perform data reconciliations across source systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Support administration and testing of ICM platforms such as SPIFF, Anaplan, or related tools.
  • Participate in system enhancements, UAT, and production deployments.
  • Ensure adherence to compensation policies, SOX controls, governance, and audit standards.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders.
  • Support annual plan rollouts, territory changes, quota updates, and organizational changes.
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance scalability.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commission Analyst 2 to join the Global Sales Compensation team. This role is responsible for supporting the administration, validation, and continuous improvement of sales compensation programs across multiple geographies and sales organizations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of incentive compensation processes, and experience working with commission systems and large datasets. The role requires close collaboration with Sales Operations, Finance, Payroll, HR, Revenue Operations, and IT teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant commission payments while driving operational excellence and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate commission calculations, earnings, quotas, credits, and attainment results to ensure payment accuracy.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual commission processing activities, including commission data validation and payout audits.
  • Investigate and resolve compensation inquiries, disputes, and escalations within established service-level agreements.
  • Partner with Payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate commission payments.
  • Review and validate manual adjustments, exceptions, and off-cycle payments.
  • Analyze sales and commission data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain compensation reports, dashboards, and recurring operational metrics.
  • Perform data reconciliations across multiple source systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Support administration and testing of Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platforms such as SPIFF, Anaplan, or related compensation tools.
  • Participate in system enhancement initiatives, UAT activities, and production deployments.
  • Ensure adherence to compensation policies, SOX controls, governance requirements, and audit standards.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Finance, Revenue Operations, or related analytical roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SPIFF, Anaplan, SAP Callidus, Xactly, or other ICM platforms.
  • Knowledge of sales compensation design and administration.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting tools.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and financial governance requirements.
  • Experience supporting global sales organizations.
Success Measures
  • 99.5% or greater commission payment accuracy.
  • Timely resolution of compensation inquiries and escalations.
  • Consistent achievement of operational SLAs.
  • Successful participation in compensation system implementations and enhancements.
  • Delivery of automation and process improvement initiatives.
