Job summary

Sulzer is offering a 12-month Sales & Commercial Internship in Leeds to an undergraduate studying Business, Sales & Marketing, or Management. You will gain hands-on experience across sales, commercial and marketing functions within our Services Division.

You will work with experienced colleagues across the full sales cycle, support tendering and pricing, build customer relationships, analyse data and contribute to reporting and campaigns. Coaching and real industry exposure are provided.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Management, or a related subject, and looking for a 12-month placement.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Analytical, with an interest in using data to support decision-making.
• Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks and projects.
• Curious, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career in sales, commercial, or marketing functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Sulzer's service portfolio, customers, and markets.
• Gain exposure to the complete sales process, from opportunity identification through to order placement.
• Support tendering and bid activities, including proposal preparation, pricing, and commercial reviews.
• Learn how to build customer relationships and identify opportunities for new business growth.
• Assist with sales reporting, data analysis, and business insight projects.
• Support marketing campaigns aimed at driving service growth and customer awareness.
• Analyse customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor sales performance, order intake, and profitability metrics.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes, reporting, and customer engagement.
