Job summary

BARBOUR is seeking a Sales Assistant for our Windsor store on a 7.5 hour per week part-time temporary contract covering the Christmas period. You will be reliable, hardworking and passionate about delivering excellent customer service, while promoting the Barbour brand in a professional manner.

The role requires confident selling, a fast-paced environment, and flexibility with working hours. You will contribute to store targets and uphold brand standards across front and back of house.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to meet personal sales targets and contribute to store budgets.
• Professional conduct and strong communication with customers and colleagues.
• Understanding of fashion market trends and brand representation.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to analyse basic store data and act on it.
• Experience with visual merchandising standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet personal and store sales targets to support budgets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build rapport with shoppers.
• Represent Barbour brand as a positive ambassador in the local area.
• Maintain shop floor standards and back-of-house organisation.
• Follow Company procedures and security guidelines.
• Ensure accurate till transactions and daily reconciliations.
• Support store management in procedures and training.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Company policies.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Job description

Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join our Windsor Store on a 7.5 hour part time temporary contract covering the Christmas period. You will be reliable and hardworking and have a passion for delivering excellent levels of customer service. The ideal candidate will be confident developing selling opportunities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will act as a brand ambassador and will be responsible for representing the Barbour brand in a positive and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute positively towards the sales/ profitability budgets for the store through achieving personal sales targets.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Be a brand ambassador promoting the brand within the locality.
• Maintain shop floor standards both front and back of house.
• Undertake and apply accurate Company administration procedures.
• Comply with Company security procedures.
• Actively support store management procedures, in line with Company policy.
• Ensure all Health & Safety regulations and Company procedures are adhered.
• Accurately process transactions through the till system.
• Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management.

Skills and Experience:

• Excellent customer care and advanced selling skills.
• Understanding of requirements to work in a target orientated environment
• Acting with a professional and respectful manner to all individuals.
• Understanding current market trends in relation to clothing/ fashion.
• Effective time management skills for organising self appropriately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships internally at all business levels.

• Able to analyse basic internal data and could translate into actions.
• Understanding and ability to implement visual merchandising standards.
• Information Technology skills including experience of EPOS systems, MS Outlook.
• Flexibility with working hours is essential.

Additional Information:

• This is a temporary role covering the Christmas period.
• Contracts available:
  • 3 x 7.5 hrs
