Job summary

Crown Paints in Plymouth is hiring a Sales Assistant / Driver for 25 hours per week. You will deliver excellent customer service in-store and by phone, mix and tint paint to customer requirements, and drive the store van for local deliveries.

The role also involves processing sales, supporting stock control, and building relationships with customers, including opening new trade accounts. A friendly, reliable approach and a full driving licence are essential.

Are you our new Sales Assistant?

We’re looking for a Sales Assistant / Driver to join our Plymouth store team. You will be:

• Delivering brilliant customer service in store and over the phone
• Mixing and tinting paint to customer requirements
• Driving the store van to deliver stock locally
• Processing sales and handling POS transactions
• Supporting stock control, deliveries and store standards
• Building relationships with customers and opening new trade accounts

Our customers range from DIYers working on weekend projects to professional decorators and builders who rely on us every day. A key part of your role will be to identify potential new customers, establish positive relationships and open customer accounts regularly.

This is a hands-on role, involving manual handling (5–10kg), standing for periods and operating store equipment.
