Job summary

Poundland Limited is hiring a Seasonal Sales Assistant to brighten the festive shopping season and provide a warm, welcoming experience for customers.

You'll join a friendly team, stock shelves, assist deliveries, and help at the tills while keeping the store tidy and safe. Prior retail or customer service experience is a bonus, training is provided, and role runs until December.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service is a bonus but not required.
• Ability to stay organized and attentive on tills and floor.
• Friendly, positive attitude and good team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with essential items and keep displays tidy.
• Deliver excellent customer service to shoppers daily.
• Assist with deliveries and unloading stock as needed.
• Ensure checkouts run smoothly and handle quick transactions.

About The Role

Join us at Poundland during this festive period as a Seasonal Sales Assistant and help make the most magical shopping season of the year even brighter for our customers.

As one of Poundland's Elves on the shop floor, you’ll be a festive ambassador for our brand, creating a warm, welcoming, and merry shopping experience every day.

You’ll be part of a friendly and energetic team, keeping shelves stocked with all those essential items, delivering fantastic customer service, supporting deliveries, ensuring the checkouts run smoothly, and helping maintain a safe, tidy, and cheerful store environment.

We're looking for team players with a positive, can-do attitude and a friendly approach. Good organisation and attention to detail, especially when working on the tills, are essential. Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus, but not a requirement. We’ll provide all the training you need to help you shine, because every member of our team plays an important part in making this, the most wonderful time of the year, a success.

This role will start soon and last until the end of December, and we may require you to work different shifts based on store needs, therefore flexibility is key.
