Job summary

PPG is seeking a Sales Assistant/Driver for our Greenford Johnstone’s Decorating Centre. You will serve customers at the counter and in-store, carry out training to recommend the right products and maintain an attractive, well-stocked shop.

The role combines sales support with regular driving duties, requiring a valid license and reliable driving. The position is full-time and permanent with opportunities for progression and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a customer-facing environment is desirable.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude are essential.
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with store systems.
• Flexible with hours and duties.
• A valid driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter and in-store with a friendly, professional approach.
• Complete required training to confidently assist customers and promote products.
• Keep store clean, well-presented and organized; manage stock levels and deliveries.
• Assist with stock loading/unloading and shelf replenishment to ensure product availability.
• Drive a large van regularly as part of the role.

Position Summary

We now have an exciting, permanent vacancy for a Sales Assistant within our Architectural Coatings division. We’re looking for a customer focused individual to become a key member of our friendly and supportive team. Previous experience in a customer facing environment and a good understanding of IT systems is desirable, but not essential, as we will support you all along the way with in-store training.

A day in the life of…

• Serve customers on the trade counter and in store, in a friendly and professional manner.
• Undertake all required training to help you to confidently select the correct product for our customers’ needs and to promote our brand.
• Ensure your store always looks well-presented and clean.
• Follow stock management procedures by taking in deliveries and keeping the shelves full.
• Driving is a key part of this role, so candidates must be confident and comfortable driving a large van on a regular basis.
