Job summary

Topps Group is hiring a Service Specialist to join our friendly store team. This part-time Sales Assistant role is 20 hours per week, with some weekend shifts, and includes personal sales commission. You’ll help customers visualise projects and choose products, building relationships that keep shoppers coming back.

No tile knowledge required—full training is provided. You’ll use a consultative approach, ask questions, and demonstrate product knowledge to close sales.

About The Role

20 hours per week including some weekend working

Aged 21 and above: £12.71 per hour plus personal sales commission

Aged 20 and below: £10.85 per hour plus personal sales commission

Working in retail as a Sales Assistant (known internally as a Service Specialist!) is genuinely different at Topps Tiles. As a key member of a small, supportive team, you'll help customers visualise their projects and find exactly what they need to make their vision a reality.

You won't just serve at a till. You'll become a specialist, developing real sales skills by using a consultative approach - asking great questions and understanding customer needs. No experience? No problem.

You don't need to know anything about tiles - or even retail. If you're outgoing, friendly, energetic and don't mind lifting heavy boxes, we'll give you all the training you need, including developing your sales confidence and skills through our simple, customer-first sales framework.
