Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer
Location: Illinois
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
Employment Type: Full-Time

Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer required to join a manufacturer and solutions provider of cutting tools and deep-hole drilling tools in the metal working sector.

Sales Engineer responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and key customers across the country in the machining, aerospace, defense and medical industries to drive sales.
  • Provide technical support and expert guidance, recommending deep-hole drilling products and cutting solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic planning.
  • Manage a sales pipeline from the initial meeting to the close of the sale through a CRM system.
Sales Engineer requirements:
  • Prior hands-on experience with cutting tools, drilling tools, gun drills, carbide drills or similar precision tooling products or accessories.
  • A technical background in manufacturing, CNC machining or manual machining is desirable.
  • Prior sales or applications experience in the metal working sector.
  • Happy to travel across the US when required.
