Job summary

Currys Newark Distribution Centre is looking for a Sales and Recoveries Associate to lead the day-to-day Sales & Recoveries operations within the Spares Purchasing team. You will ensure resources are used effectively and targets are achieved while keeping customers at the heart of everything we do.

You should bring strong leadership, excellent organisation and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Pattern : Monday to Friday, 8 - 4 pm (37.5 contracted hours)

You’ll be working at one of the leading repair centres in Europe, helping us recover value from products while supporting an efficient and cost-effective operation. As part of the Customer Repair Centre management team, you’ll lead and support the day-to-day Sales & Recoveries operation within the Spares Purchasing team, making sure resources are used effectively, targets are achieved and our customers remain at the heart of everything we do.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Leading, supporting and motivating the team to deliver against business standards, Sales & Recoveries KPIs and objectives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Managing day-to-day team resources, making sure colleagues are allocated effectively to complete tasks within agreed timescales, processes and procedures.
• Supporting great customer outcomes, resolving queries and escalations while building positive relationships with colleagues and customers across the business.
• Driving operational standards and colleague development, providing regular feedback and coaching while ensuring processes, documentation, security, health & safety and relevant compliance requirements are followed.

You’ll bring a collaborative approach, strong organisational skills and the ability to lead others in a busy operational environment. An understanding of people management, coaching, health & safety, waste management or environmental policies would be beneficial, but you’ll have opportunities to develop your knowledge in the role.

You will need:

• Experience of working effectively as part of a team and the ability to lead, motivate and support others.
• The ability to allocate and manage team resources effectively while working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across different areas of the business.
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to support the resolution of queries and escalations.

Desirable:

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, alongside good communication and organisational skills.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent/higher qualifications, with a focus on your own performance and continued development.
