Job summary

Hotel Chocolat is seeking a Sales Advisor at Unit 2, Douglas Way, Eldon Square, Newcastle upon Tyne. You’ll be a brand ambassador who shares our products with customers through warmth, knowledge and enthusiasm.

You don’t need prior retail experience to join, but you’ll deliver an amazing customer experience with product demonstrations, tasting sessions and allergen checks while contributing to a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome every customer and immerse them in the world of Hotel Chocolat.
• Discover your customers’ needs and reason for their visit through friendly conversation.
• Delight customers through product demonstrations and tasting sessions, checking allergens throughout your time with them.
• Close the sale and confidently recommend additional products such as gift bags.
• Genuinely thank your customer for shopping with us, leaving them happy.
• Process transactions, refunds and exchanges at the till.
• Respond to customer feedback.
• Work with your team to support deliveries and stock management, keep the delivery area tidy in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain the appearance of the store and café areas to a high standard.
• If the store has a café area, prepare hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks according to our guidelines, upselling where possible.
• Support where you can to the success of your store and team.

• Processing transactions, refunds and exchanges at the till.
• Responding to customer feedback.
• Working with your team to support with deliveries and stock management, keeping the delivery area is kept clear and tidy in line with our health and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining the appearance of the store and café areas to a high standard.
• If your store has a café area, you will be preparing hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks according to our guidelines and processes whilst keeping the area immaculately clean. The customer experience is just as important, however given the pace of a café, you will focus on upselling to your customer.
