Sales Administrator – Temporary

Location: Plympton

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours

Salary: £26,000–£27,000 (depending on experience)

Start: ASAP

Contract: Temporary

We are recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join a busy team in Plympton. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administration background, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full order journey: enter, track, and update customer orders accurately and promptly.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships, handling profiles, certifications, NDAs, and credit applications.
  • Act as the customer’s main point of contact: communicate order status, shipping preferences, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure on-time delivery and elevate risks where necessary.
  • Support quotations and collaborate with technical teams on custom and pre-engineered projects.
  • Maintain organised electronic filing systems for data, drawings, and pricing.
  • Oversee stock code setup, specifications, pricing, and compliance with UK export regulations.
  • Work with Quality teams on returns, warranties, and service rework.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by standardising database entries and improving data accuracy.
