Job description

My client based in St Ives Cambridgeshire are currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join their team on a full time permanent basis. You will provide effective and efficient administrative support through the processing of orders from receipt to delivery in accordance with company procedures and country-specific regulations. Dealing with freight forwarders and any issues, should they arise.

Main responsibilities:
  • Processing Sales orders and all necessary paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure that all customers receive the correct goods to the correct address at the correct price
  • Carrying out dispatch admin duties
  • Meeting special requirements by liaising with Purchasing regarding non-stock items
  • Ensuring best shipment methods and prices are achieved by negotiating with freight couriers as required
  • Checking Stock levels and liaising with the Warehouse Team
  • Liaise with other departments regarding production requirements and urgency of orders
  • Ensuring that customers are kept up to date with their orders by emailing relevant documentation and information (invoices, packing lists tracking numbers for deliveries etc)
  • Requesting proof of delivery documents to ensure that orders have been safely received enabling the Company to effectively manage delivery queries
  • Keeping accurate records and spreadsheets to ensure that Sales, Accounts and Purchasing colleagues have access to up-to-date information
  • Ensuring accuracy by checking courier invoices against quotations
  • Communicate effectively across all departments involved in the sales process
  • Actively participating in improvement/streamlining of admin processes
