Taylorollinson are seeking a motivated Field-Based Sales Account Manager to drive growth across a dynamic territory in the South West UK. The successful candidate will manage and grow existing accounts, develop new business, and provide expert advice on life science lab equipment and consumables. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role, ideal for a commercially minded professional with a strong scientific background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow existing accounts, conducting regular business reviews and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Prospect and win new customers, introducing products and solutions to expand the territory
  • Provide technical advice on lab equipment and consumables, delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing; maintain accurate records in CRM systems
  • Analyse account performance, track sales opportunities, and report on progress versus targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales Support, Operations, and Transport to deliver excellent customer service
  • Plan field visits efficiently to maximise face‑to‑face customer engagement
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Microbiology, Molecular or Cellular Biology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven experience in solution‑based selling, account management, or field sales within the life sciences industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of laboratory equipment, consumables, and product portfolios
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills
