Sales Account Manager Responsibilities
- Handle large-scale, high-profile accounts, ensuring the account is running smoothly and is retained
- Use Salesforce to drive the customer contact strategy and to maintain regular, valuable contact with your named accounts
- Reach out to existing customers to increase account spend by offering additional solutions and identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
- Become a trusted advisor and expert in your field, working with customers to understand their needs and offer the right solutions
- Successfully close sales, using your negotiation and influential skills to get the deal across the line
- Work in close conjunction with the customer service team to ensure an exceptional customer journey is delivered, stepping in and supporting where necessary
- Find and implement improvements to the sales process while working with the wider sales team to shape and strengthen the sales strategy
- Pass leads, not in your sector, to relevant contacts within the new business team
- Use the CRM to record sales activity and customer interactions
- Work toward targets and provide sales forecasts and activity reports
Sales Account Manager Skills and Experience
- Proven telesales experience, with a strong track record as an Account Manager or Sales Executive
- Commercially sharp and strategically minded. You spot opportunities others might miss and know how to maximise every account through smart, targeted strategies
