A community-focused healthcare provider in Manchester is seeking a GP to join their walk-in center. The role involves conducting patient consultations, managing chronic illnesses, and working within a supportive team. Candidates should have great diagnosis skills and a background in AED urgent care. Competitive compensation starts at £10,650 per session with additional uplifts for specific skills and experiences.
Conducting consultations with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat various health conditions. Managing chronic illnesses and providing preventive care.
We are looking for a GP or suitably qualified doctor (AED urgent care background) to add additional capacity to our walk‑in centre in Hawthorn. This centre sees urgent referrals from 111 and also patients who walk in for acute urgent primary care assessment. Each day is different, so you need to have great diagnosis skills and be able to think on your feet. You will be part of a team that provides support, training, and a good amount of tea and cake! You will also be joining the wider team of GPs, nurses and ANPs across the company who get together for learning and development opportunities.
Hope Citadel is a primary care provider with a heart for deprived communities. We run 11 doctors practices, mainly in Oldham and Rochdale, and employ over 200 staff. We started 15 years ago by a passionate group of people looking to reverse the inverse care law by providing quality healthcare in areas of deprivation. This still underpins why we do what we do to make the invisible, visible. Our staff are driven by social justice, by compassion, and by a drive to see real change in the communities they live and work in. Primary care is not an easy space to work in, and that is exacerbated in areas of deprivation. In order to provide the best service to patients, it is vital that our culture and our processes are aligned. We prioritise maintaining high healthcare outcomes, but know that in order to do this, we need to be an employer of choice and look after our staff well. We do this by making commitments such as being a Real Living Wage employer, running mentoring and learning and development opportunities, and finding space to socialise and have fun together.
Hawthorn Medical Centre is part of the Hope Citadel Healthcare group, a team of 11 practices that are looking to bring transformation in individuals, families and communities through whole‑person centred healthcare. Sessional rate starts at £10,650 with additional uplifts for specific language consulting skills, leadership, experience, mentoring, and protected time for quality improvement, clinical support, and special interest.
