Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a Salaried GP to join our forward-thinking practice serving Aberdeen & Oldmeldrum across three sites. The role emphasizes supervision, education, and leadership within a busy primary care network.

You will work with a robust multidisciplinary team, including ANPs, physiotherapists, and practice nurses, providing comprehensive patient care while supporting junior clinicians and GP trainees.

Qualifications

• Experienced GP with GMC registration and current practicing licence.
• Interest in teaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Willingness to work across multiple sites and diverse populations.
• Ability to contribute to trainee education and service development.

We are a large, innovative GP practice operating from three well-established locations:

• A city centre site in Aberdeen
• Arural practicein the picturesque town of Oldmeldrum

Our model is built aroundcollaborative, hub-based care, with a strong focus on team support and clinician development.

How We Work

All clinical contacts are triaged by our experiencedCare Navigation Team, working under senior clinician supervision. Theduty clinician roleis focused on supporting and supervising junior staff and GP trainees – a great opportunity for those interested in mentorship and leadership. We’re proud to be awell-established training practice, regularly hosting GP trainees, junior doctors, and medical students.

You’ll work alongside arobust multidisciplinary team, including:

• Advanced Nurse Practitioners
• Physiotherapists
• Practice Nurses

Together, we provide high-quality care tailored to a wide range of patient needs, from inner-city deprivation to affluent suburbs and student populations with almost all home visits done by PCIP unscheduled care visiting service or practice visiting ANP.
