The NHS is seeking an enthusiastic Salaried GP to join the Whitstable Medical Practice team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centred general medical services and manage a broad range of health needs.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centred general medical services, managing a broad range of health needs within a primary care setting while ensuring the highest standards of clinical care.
This post is based at Chestfield Medical Centre and comprises six clinical sessions per week. We are looking for a GP who is available to commence the role in January 2027.
This is a list-bearing, clinically focused GMS role, with excellent multidisciplinary support to help you deliver safe and effective patient care. You will work alongside a highly skilled team, including a dedicated paramedic home visiting service, Older Persons Practitioners, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and dedicated prescribing and data entry teams.
To work collaboratively with the Partners and wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality general medical services, managing a varied clinical caseload while contributing to the continuous development of safe, effective, and patient-centred healthcare services for our diverse practice population.
Whitstable Medical Practice is a forward thinking singlepractice Primary Care Network (PCN) GP Practice based across 3 sites inWhitstable. There are 23 equity GP partners looking after over 45,500 patients. There are also 17 Allied Health Professionalsdirectly employed Clinical Pharmacy Team, Older Persons Practitioners, SocialPrescribers, First Contact Physiotherapists and Mental HealthPractitioners.
We pride ourselves on our innovative approach to PrimaryCare. We are a training practice and runvarious in house contracts including Cataract surgery, Ultrasound, Dermatology,Physical Therapies and Audiology together with further community contracts, aDay Surgery Suite and an Urgent Treatment Centre with digital x-ray.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
£11,500 to £12,000 a sessiondepending on experience, per annum.
