Job summary

PICS is recruiting a forward-thinking, enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly team on a permanent basis, 6-8 sessions per week. We are a training practice hosting resident doctors and offering strong PCN support, with a CQC outstanding rating and a large patient list of about 7,100.

The role includes dedicated CPD time, regular admin support, and opportunities to develop areas of special interest. Informal visits are welcome to meet the team.

Qualifications

• First Medical Degree MB or MBBS and foundation year as a Medical Practitioner.
• GP Specialist training.
• GMC registration.
• Royal College of General Practitioners membership.
• Experience as a GP.
• Awareness of duties of a doctor and good medical practice.

Responsibilities

• Undertake surgery and telephone consultations with patients.
• Visit patients at home when required.
• Check and sign repeat prescriptions and deal with queries and paperwork.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions in line with practice policies.
• Prescribe using the practice formulary.
• Maintain confidential patient information and adhere to data protection rules.
