A healthcare provider in Birmingham is looking for a newly qualified General Practitioner to join their multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing patient-centred care, managing a diverse caseload, and engaging in continuous professional development. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Shah Zaman Surgery, part of the North Birmingham Primary Care Network (PCN).We are a dynamic and forward-thinking practice, passionate about developing and delivering high-quality local healthcare services that meet the needs of our patients.
Following the recent changes to the ARRS Scheme, which now includes General Practitioners, we are looking to expand our PCN team by recruiting a newly qualified General Practitioner (must have qualified within the last two years). This post is subject to the continuation of NHS funding for the role.
You will work closely with ourpractice and PCN team to provide excellent, patient-centred care. Our multidisciplinary PCN team includes Clinical Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Social Prescribers, Mental Health Practitioners, General Practice Assistants, Physiotherapists, Care Coordinators, and General Practitioners.

The post holder will work as an autonomous General Practitioner within a supportive primary care team, providing high-quality, patient-centred clinical care. You will independently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions, supported by a multidisciplinary team across the practice and PCN.
You will provide expert advice and guidance to patients, carers, and colleagues, promoting evidence-based practice and maintaining clinical excellence at all times. The role also involves contributing to the education and training of medical trainees, students, and other healthcare staff, supporting continuous learning and professional development.
As a GMC-registered practitioner, you will be professionally accountable for all aspects of your clinical practice, ensuring patient safety, effective record-keeping, and the highest standards of care. Summary of Responsibilities
The post-holder will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, managing a caseload of patientsat Shah Zaman Surgery. They will address a wide range of health needs for both registered and temporary patients.
The role includes face-to-face surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, administrative duties, and adherence to contractual obligations (GMS/enhanced services/DES). The post-holder will work collaboratively with colleagues at the practice and with the wider PCN team as needed to ensure safe, effective, and integrated care.
