Job summary

Craig Nevis Surgery at Fort William Health Centre seeks a salaried GP to work six sessions per week, with Tuesday and Friday as essential days and another day to be agreed. The post offers the chance to cover extra sessions for Partners during absences. The practice has ~3,800 patients and a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

There is no out-of-hours or weekend work required as these are provided by NHS Highland. The practice participates in GPRegistrar and medical student training.

Located at the foot of Ben Nevis in the Outdoor Capital of the UK, Craig Nevis Surgery is ideally situated for those with an interest in outdoor activities such as mountain biking and skiing.

We are looking to recruit a salaried GP working 6 sessions per week (all day Tuesday, Friday essential and another day to be agreed) with the opportunity to cover extra sessions for Partners during periods of absence for example annual leave and sickness.

With a list size of approximately 3800 patients our small, friendly team provide general medical services. Our catchment area spans from Onich to Glenfinnan to Letterfinlay.

Our team consists of 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, Advanced Paramedical Practitioner, Practice Nurse, Healthcare Assistant, along with an extended multi-disciplinary team including Pharmacy Team and First Contact Physiotherapist, community nurses, midwives, social workers and health visitors. They are all supported by an efficient administration team.

Our practice is an accredited training practice involved in the training of GP Registrars and medical students.

There is no requirement to work out of hours or weekends as this out of hours cover is provided by NHS Highland.
