Job summary

As a Salaried GP you will be a key clinician, with a jointly agreed job plan to deliver general medical services and address a broad range of health needs in primary care. The NPC partnership offers strong education support and opportunities for portfolio work while benefiting from Northumbria Healthcare services and resources.

Job description

We are recruiting up to 6 sessions at NPC Spring Terrace, North Shields on a fixed term basis for 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is keen to play a key role in shaping the future of a thriving practice.

NPC Spring Terrace is a welcoming, community-focused practice serving the population of North Shields and surrounding areas, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. As part of Northumbria Primary Care and the wider NPC North Tyneside neighbourhood, the practice benefits from a diverse multidisciplinary team and a collaborative network across four local sites, providing opportunities for shared learning, peer support, and service resilience.

As a teaching practice, Spring Terrace Health Centre takes great pride in developing our future work force in primary care. This includes GP registrars, medical students, nursing students and the continued development of all staff.

As a practice Spring Terrace has been on a journey of quality improvement over recent years and is subsequently growing its patient list, clinical space and workforce.

As a GP Practice which is part of Northumbria Primary Care, we work with flexibility and independence to run the surgery based on what is best for our patients and staff, and additionally we have the regular and consistent support of the management team to help us to focus on what is clinically important.

NPC is a pioneering partnership with local GPs and now manages several GP practices with around 120,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
