Job summary

Suffolk LMC, based in Newmarket, Suffolk, is seeking a salaried GP for up to 6 sessions to join our friendly teaching and training practice serving Cambridge Medical Students and GPSTP in Bury St Edmunds.

We are a 6-partner PMS practice with an experienced nursing team and integrated PCN staff, offering a supportive environment, lunchtime meetings, two daily coffee breaks, free onsite parking, and a competitive salary with MDU fees paid. Informal visits are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Join a teaching and training practice for Cambridge Medical Students & Bury St Edmunds GPSTP.
• Provide care as a salaried GP for up to 6 sessions.
• Work with an experienced nursing team running clinics.
• Be supported by PCN staff and MSK FCP service including steroid injection clinics.
• Support from a dedicated reception and admin team.
• Salary is competitive and MDU fees are paid.

Job description

Based in Newmarket, on the borders of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, we are seeking a salaried GP for
up to 6 sessions to join our friendly teaching and training practice for both Cambridge Medical
Students & Bury St Edmunds GPSTP. Our Salaried post is available now but we would be willing to
wait for the right person.

We are a 6-partner PMS practice with approx. 12,000 patients. We also employ 4 further salaried
doctors and a part time MSK First Contact Practitioner.

The practice is one of three based in Newmarket that provides a high level of care to our patients in
Newmarket and surrounding villages.

• Work in a large, well-equipped, purpose-built premises with free onsite parking, and within
  walking distance of Newmarket town
• Lunchtime educational meetings with lunch provided
• Two timetabled coffee breaks to help us support one another at 11am & 4.00pm
• Supported by an experienced nursing team who run minor illness and chronic disease clinics
• Practice integrated PCN staff; part time Clinical Pharmacist, part time Social Prescriber, full
  time Emergency Care Practitioner as well as access to an MSK FCP service including steroid
  injection clinics
• Experienced and dedicated reception and admin team
