As a salaried GP at our Coventry practice, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population. Your core duties will include conducting face-to-face and telephone consultations, managing acute and chronic conditions, and undertaking a share of on-the-day demand.
You will be responsible for clinical decision-making, prescribing, and appropriate referrals, supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team. There will also be opportunities to engage in quality improvement activities, contribute to clinical meetings, and support the wider multidisciplinary team.

Coventry GP is a well-established, two-site practice serving over 13,000 patients across Jubilee Crescent and Foleshill. As a GMS (General Medical Services) practice, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Our team comprises five GPs, two trainee GP registrars, and two nurses, all dedicated to providing compassionate and professional medical services. Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient-focused GP to join our supportive, forward-thinking team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified GP (within 2 years of CCT) who is passionate about delivering high-quality care in a dynamic and welcoming environment.
Main Responsibilities
Provide consultations and appropriate clinical care to patients during booked surgeries (face-to-face, telephone, and e-consultations).
Manage a range of health needs in a primary care setting, dealing with both acute and chronic conditions.
Carry out home visits where clinically necessary.
Undertake and interpret diagnostic tests and investigations as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records using EMIS Web.
Prescribe medication and manage repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice and national guidelines.
Refer patients to secondary care services and community providers when appropriate.
Take part in shared responsibility for safeguarding adults and children.
Participate in duty doctor rota and urgent care provision.
Additional Duties
Attend and contribute to clinical meetings, audit activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support the training and supervision of GP trainees or medical students (if interested).
Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and practice policies.
Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and annual appraisals.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members including nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, mental health workers, and social prescribers.

68 sessions per week (flexible and negotiable)
