Job summary

Springfield Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly practice team.

This is a replacement position and provides an excellent opportunity for a GP who is looking to work within a supportive, welcoming and patient-focused environment.

The successful candidate will work alongside our existing clinical and administrative teams to provide high-quality general medical services to our patient population.

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to providing excellent patient care and who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team.

The number of sessions and working pattern can be discussed with the successful applicant.

We would be delighted to hear from experienced GPs as well as those who are earlier in their careers.

Informal visits and conversations are very welcome.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services to our practice population of nearly 5,000 patients.

Main duties will include routine GP consultations, telephone and face-to-face appointments, management of acute and long-term conditions, prescribing, referrals, reviewing results and clinical correspondence, and completing associated clinical administration.

The role will also include regular care home ward rounds and ongoing clinical support for care home residents.

You will work closely with our 2 GP Partners, wider practice team and colleagues across East Waverley PCN. As a training practice, we value teamwork, shared learning and professional development, and we would welcome a GP who is keen to contribute positively to the wider life of the practice.

About us

Springfield Surgery is a friendly and supportive training practice caring for a patient population of nearly 5,000 patients.

Our clinical team includes 2 GP Partners, working alongside our wider nursing, healthcare and administrative teams. We are proud to be a training practice and are committed to supporting learning, professional development and the future of general practice.

We are also part of the East Waverley Primary Care Network (PCN), working collaboratively with neighbouring practices and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our local population.

At Springfield Surgery, we aim to provide high-quality, compassionate and patient-centred care while maintaining a positive and supportive working environment for our team.

We value teamwork, good communication and a friendly atmosphere, and we are looking for a Salaried GP who will enjoy becoming an integral part of the practice.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our GP Partners and wider practice team, contribute to the ongoing development of the surgery and play an active role in delivering care to our patient population.

As a training practice, we particularly value shared learning, clinical discussion and supporting colleagues at all stages of their careers.
