A general medical practice in Torquay is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join their team. The practice serves 8,200 patients and offers the chance to impact patient care positively. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, independent prescribing, and providing medication reviews. Applicants should have appropriate GP qualifications and experience in primary care. This role is part-time, allowing flexibility in sessions.

We have an evergrowing multi-disciplinary team which includes experienced ANPs, alongside ourPCN staff including Pharmacists, Wellbeing Team and Physician Associates. We focuson the wellbeing of our staff and have strong communication across all teams.We structure our workload to support each other to ensure a good work-lifebalance.
The post-holder will managea caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary caresetting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporarypatients. As a member of the team and one of the employees you will be expectedto set an example to others, assist in education and training and to play afull role in target achievement and service development.
Croft Hall Medical Practice is a fast paced, forwardthinking practice with a list size of 8,200.Our team consists of General Practitioners, experienced ANPs and theever growing support of our PCN staff, including a Wellbeing Team, PCNPharmacists and Physician Associates. We are rated Good by CQC.
Practice as an independent prescriber workingwithin scope of practice
Carry out face-to-face and telephoneconsultations with patients with minor illnesses
To provide medication review services withpatients in the practice and, when required during domiciliary visits to thelocal residential and care homes.
To provide advice and support for patients withself-limiting conditions
Review medications for newly registeredpatients
To provide subject matter expertise onmedication monitoring, implementing and embedding a system
Carry out targeted medication reviews forhigh-risk patients
To reauthorise medication for repeatprescribing within scope of practice
Identify patients suitable for repeatprescribing, liaising with the relevant clinicians as required
Review and implement safe prescribing systemsfor vulnerable patients, improving compliance
Support clinicians with the management ofpatients suffering from drug and alcohol dependencies
Actively signpost patients to the correcthealthcare professional
Assist with QOF targets
Act as the practice point of contact for allmedicines related matters, establishing positive working relationships
