A leading global retailer in Lutterworth is seeking a Safety Technician to ensure workplace safety and compliance with safety procedures. You'll work closely with our experts to monitor your site, which means you'll get to see the difference that you make to people's well‑being every day.
You'll be based at one of our sites, enabling you to closely track what's happening and answer people's questions throughout their shifts. This role is all about spotting potential issues before they happen. You'll spend a lot of time checking the site and getting to know how people use equipment. By understanding how every task and machine works, you'll be able to think about the best way to keep processes safe. You'll also be one of the people to put safety changes into action, which means you'll work closely with lots of people. Alongside your daily and weekly tasks, you'll offer support to our Operations team on ad‑hoc safety‑related work.
Safety is so important to Amazon, and you'll help us gather the vital data that keeps us on top of our processes and ahead of any issues. You'll also share that data with people across the business and work with other teams to make sure they're putting safety first.
Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe. There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. No matter what your role is, you'll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design.
