Overview

Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a Safety Systems & Reporting Lead who is innovative, collaborative, and detail‑oriented to join us in our Patient Safety team, based in our Brussels office in Belgium or in Slough, UK.

About the role

You will be working in a team that manages and maintains computer systems supporting patient safety. You will ensure these systems are fit for purpose, effectively implemented and maintained, supporting effective processes and decision‑making across global operations. The Systems team plays a critical role in providing technology solutions to a wide range of processes within Patient Safety. This position will have a primary focus on activities related to signal detection, assessment, benefit–risk management and medical writing, while also contributing to broader safety operations as needed.

Who you’ll work with

You will be working in a diverse, cross‑functional team of safety, technology, and analytics professionals. Collaboration with internal and external partners—including IT, regulatory, clinical, and business units—is key to delivering impactful solutions.

What you’ll do
  • Manage operational activities such as system configuration, access management, monitoring, incident analysis, and user training.
  • Lead projects to implement new systems or complex process changes, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Develop and deliver reports and visualizations to support safety decision‑making.
  • Ensure systems are validated, compliant, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
  • Identify business needs, collect requirements, and support acceptance testing and validation.
  • Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Education, experience, and skills
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
  • Significant experience in safety systems or related technology, with broad expertise across multiple domains preferably with a strength in signal detection and safety science.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience leading complex projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in data management and reporting.
  • Fluent in business English.
