Job description

Currently in search of a dedicated and seasoned Safety Manager to fill a full-time position based in Welshpool, focusing on implementation of SAI360 program within a diverse construction and mining sectors.

The role involves overseeing workplace safety and implementing procedures and required to travel frequently to prevent accidents and injuries in various locations throughout Western Australia region.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute safety policies and procedures in adherence to local, state, and federal regulations utilizing the SAI360 program.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety regulations, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead a team of 10 H&S specialists supporting corporate and site management.
About you
  • Exhibits a solid track record of managing projects and safety protocols within the construction and/or mining industry.
  • Holds a relevant HSE qualifications that contribute to the role's requirements.
  • Proficiency in clear communication and interpersonal skills is essential, ensuring the ability to provide concise advice, instructions, and address needs effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of contractual, safety, and statutory laws and associated risks is paramount.
  • Be competent in managing workload, timelines and priorities.
