Overview
AirX Jet Support is a UK CAA and EASA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on our parent company fleet of CL-600, EMB 135 and ERJ 190 aircraft. We are recruiting for an experienced Safety & Compliance Specialist to join our team.
Role
Working as part of the Safety and Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities on customer aircraft adhere to internal procedures and regulatory requirements. You will actively participate in compliance oversight, internal and external audits, risk analysis and the administration of engineering staff authorisations and Part 145 internal documentation.
This role reports to the Compliance Monitoring Manager and is based at the London Stansted Diamond Hangar facility working a Monday to Friday shift pattern.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the Safety and Compliance nominated persons to ensure all maintenance activities performed under the Part 145 approval adhere to internal and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and implement the internal and external audit plan across all elements of the Part 145 approval.
- Register risk reports, occurrence reports and non-conformances in the IQSMS portal.
- Investigate and determine root causes and corrective actions to support closure of internal occurrence reports and findings issued to the organisation by customers or the Competent Authority.
- Preparation and revision of the company MOE, associated procedures and forms.
- Develop and deliver training to staff as part of the company internal training program.
- Promotion of the organisations Safety Management System (SMS) through the facilitation of the hazard identification and risk management.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and third party organisations as required.
- Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
Required Experience
- Demonstrable experience working in a safety management and compliance monitoring function within an aviation organisation.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of SMS principles and EASA Part 145 regulations.
- Completed a recognised course in auditing techniques or hold a formal auditing qualification.
- Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must have legal authorisation and the right to work in the UK.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Ability to obtain security clearance and hold an airside ID pass.
