A leading waste management company in the UK is seeking a Safety & Compliance Manager for its Runcorn facility. This role involves managing safety systems and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, relevant regulatory experience, and an IOSH/NEBOSH qualification. We have an opportunity at our ERF in Runcorn for a Safety & Compliance Manager to join our team working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As our Safety & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work. You'll ensure compliance with environmental permits or licences and have the ability to interpret emissions data, develop working plans and audit. Implementing policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality‑led environment with safety at its core, you'll actively monitor, maintain and manage environments and health and safety risk assessments, SSOW and method statements to ensure best practice and prevent incidents and accidents. Working closely with the Plant Manager and site team, you'll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring a no‑compromise approach with regards to health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.
