Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Brize Norton seeks a Safety & Compliance Engineer (Investigator/Auditor) for on-site, permanent work. Eligibility for UK SC security clearance is required; travel is very infrequent.

35-hour week with flexible Fridays and comprehensive benefits including pension, profit share, car leasing, and health cover. You will audit under MRP Pt.145 and Pt.M, investigate root causes, manage investigations, and drive a safety culture across the organisation with strong liaison

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of MRP Pt.145 and Pt.M regulations.
  • Experience or keen interest in investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in conducting audits to a recognised standard.
  • Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Safety Management Systems.
  • Good level of aviation engineering knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out audits within both MRP Pt.145 and Pt.M per local procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out investigations and root cause analysis within Pt.145 and Pt.M as directed by HO Safety and Compliance.
  • Carry out investigation management within Pt.145 and Pt.M, liaising with Senior Leadership Team and contacts.
  • Promote active Compliance and SMS cultures within the organisation.
  • Participate in departmental and organisational meetings as required.
  • Support organisational continuous improvement programs and projects.

TYPE: Full time - Mon-Fri 35 hours

Our contract at Brize Norton with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover on a 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft.

This is an opportunity to work in a unique environment that promotes a safe and just culture, driving air safety and quality improvements within the organisation. You will interface with all areas of the organisation, including liaison with the RAF to assure the organisation complies with all Regulatory and Commercial obligations.

How you will contribute to the team
  • Carry out audits within both MRP Pt.145 and Pt.M in accordance with local procedures and Regulatory requirements
  • Carry out investigations and root cause analysis within both MRP Pt.145 and Pt.M in accordance with local procedures and Regulatory requirements as directed by the HO Safety and Compliance
  • Carry out investigation management within both MRP Pt.145 and Pt.M areas, this includes liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and their delegated point of contacts
  • Promote active Compliance and SMS cultures with the organisation
  • Participate in departmental and organisational meetings as required
  • Support organisational continuous improvement programs and projects
About you
  • Working knowledge of MRP and CAA Pt.145 and Pt.M regulations
  • Experience or a keen interest in performing investigations and root cause analysis
  • Experience in performing audits to a recognised standard
  • Good working knowledge of Quality Managements Systems & Safety Management Systems
