A well-established engineering organization is hiring a Safety and Airworthiness Engineer in Portsmouth on a permanent basis. The role focuses on ensuring safety and regulatory compliance of a range of well-engineered parts and components. Job description

Due to continued growth a well-established engineering organization are hiring a Safety and Airworthiness Engineer on a permanent basis. Working within an innovative manufacturing environment, the primary focus of the role is to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of a range of well-engineered parts and components.

Work arrangement

Site-based, Monday to Friday (days), 37.5 hours, Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 13:30.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensuring products and systems meet safety and airworthiness regulations throughout their lifecycle.
  • Developing safety cases, conducting hazard identification, and performing safety analysis such as FMEA and FTA.
  • Preparing and managing documentation for certification, including compliance with MAA Regulatory Articles and other industry standards.
  • Working closely with design teams to integrate safety requirements into system architecture and project deliverables.
  • Maintaining safety records, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of the Safety Management System.
Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess a strong understanding of safety engineering principles and airworthiness regulations, experience with hazard analysis techniques (e.g. FMEA, FTA) and safety case development.
