An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered professional to join the Safeguarding Training Team to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Trustwide Safeguarding Training Programme across Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The Safeguarding Training Team pride themselves in the design, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of high-quality safeguarding training and education throughout the Trust, promoting a 'Think Family' approach to safeguarding.
We are looking for an applicant who has a passion for promoting the safety and welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and who is able to incorporate their own experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice into the development and delivery of safeguarding training for all Trust staff.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

The post holder will support the Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's Safeguarding Training Programme as part of the Trustwide Safeguarding Strategy. It is expected that the post holder will contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of safeguarding training across various sites across the Trust to various staff groups, and support the role of the Safeguarding Training & Development Lead.
Some previous experience of delivering training and/or presentations would be beneficial to this role.
Holding a full valid UK Driving License and having access to their own transport is essential, as the post-holder will be required to travel to various sites across the Trust to facilitate training.

The post holder will:
Facilitate the delivery of specific areas of safeguarding education and training to various staff groups at various sites across the Trust, ensuring compliance with Trust policy and procedure, and promoting a Think Family approach;
Contribute to the design, planning, co-ordination, and delivery of a broad range of safeguarding education and training that is responsive to clinical and organisational need, using a variety of resources and training methods;
Contribute to the analysis of training provided and its impact, to support the ongoing development of the Trustwide Safeguarding Training Programme;
Support a system to ensure that all staff have access to learning and development which is necessary and relevant to the job role they are undertaking;
Communicate highly complex and highly sensitive information in an understandable format which encourages buy-in, motivates and supports learning to encourage effective safeguarding practice.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
