Job summary

Acis Group Ltd is seeking a Safeguarding Support Therapist to lead safeguarding and therapeutic practice for learners aged 16-25 with SEND and SEMH needs. The role blends safeguarding leadership with creative learning to build resilience and independence.

This fixed-term position runs until March 2028, with majority time spent in a dedicated support therapy role to develop and implement new techniques that help learners thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND/SEMH learners.
• Safeguarding expertise in educational settings and readiness to act as DSL.
• Completion of L3 safeguarding qualification or willingness to do so.
• Ability to design and deliver bespoke pastoral interventions.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Background in behaviour support and therapeutic crisis intervention.
• Trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities

• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring policy implementation and compliance.
• Lead safeguarding training and drive practice improvements across the team.
• Contribute to behaviour and wellbeing support planning with family and external professionals.
• Deliver high-need pastoral and therapeutic sessions using creative therapy methods.
• Coordinate pastoral activities and document actions for EHCP and funder reporting.
• Lead reporting and analysis of support activities to show learner progress.
• Develop group-wide wellbeing interventions with real-time impact.
• Plan and deliver vocational learning focused on engagement and independence.
