About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Safeguarding Team Manager to join our Children’s Services team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape and drive safeguarding strategy across educational settings, ensuring vulnerable children receive the support they need to thrive.

What will you be doing?
As The Safeguarding Team Manager, You Will
  • Lead and manage a team of safeguarding professionals with casework responsibilities.
  • Be the strategic lead for safeguarding in education settings.
  • Develop and implement policies and systems to monitor and improve safeguarding outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with partners including Ofsted, DfE, and strategic groups.
  • Oversee responses to safeguarding complaints and assurance letters.
  • Manage budgets and ensure financial stewardship across the service.

About You
  • Hold a Degree teacher, social worker or youth worker and be a professional qualification teacher, social worker or youth worker.
  • Have detailed knowledge of the legislative framework required to manage this service. KCSIE, Exclusion, Attendance, Children Missing from Education, Children who are Home Educated and Licensing, legislation. SEN Code of Practice 2014, Admissions Code.
  • Have substantial and sustained experience of working with children and young people particularly vulnerable children.
