Job description
Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of clinical nursing within the ward / department
  • Manage a group of patients
  • Act as a role model to students and Clinical Support Workers
  • Present a positive, professional image of the organisation and of the nursing team, and participate in the yearly personal performance review (PDR)
  • Comply with the NMC Code of Conduct at all times
  • Be responsible for the assessment of needs, development of programmes of care, and implementation and evaluation of these programmes for patients and their relatives
  • Competently and safely administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) and supportive treatments
  • Take charge of the ward when rostered and be assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision
