Job Description

Based in the Area, this role provides project and resource management for various sacred music, scripture, and temple translation and recording projects, being the connecting link between Headquarters teams and Area Translation staff. The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the successful completion of sacred materials projects by coordinating job tasks through the use of translation project management tools and technologies and by assisting HQ Sacred Materials Linguists and Area Language Supervisors in building capabilities amongst resources.

Candidates

Candidates for this position will have exceptional organisational and time‑management skills and a passion for logistics and project management. They must demonstrate problem‑solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and familiarity with business operations, management, technology, and linguistics. In addition to keeping projects on track, they must have strong communication skills to provide clear training and feedback on translation tools and processes to project team members. They must be service‑oriented and able to communicate clearly and concisely with people across cultures. They must be available to work during non‑standard business hours and on flexible schedules to facilitate partnership with team members and staff in other time zones.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the project schedule and translation deliveries of assigned Sacred Music and/or temple and scripture translation and production projects.
  • Administer project financials (including work orders, invoices, resource reimbursements, etc.).
  • Handle travel logistics and arrangements for project teams in multiple Areas.
  • Assist sacred materials linguists with document creation, job assignments, job tracking, and resource management.
  • Use standard processes to ensure the timely completion of projects, including managing communication, project expectations and payment with translation team members.
  • Create and administer surveys for Sacred Materials projects.
  • Coordinate sensitive, confidential, high‑profile projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sacred Materials Translation Team Lead or the Area Translation Manager.
Qualifications
  • Must have legal right to work in at least one of the countries of the Europe North Area.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, linguistics, translation or a related field) or equivalent experience with a high degree of expertise in translation, writing/editing, content management, publishing, project management or general administration.
  • Mastery of spoken and written English; native ability in at least one other language is an advantage but not required.
  • Self‑starter mentality and comfortable working independently in a virtual environment with little supervision.
  • Broad knowledge of history, political and economic circumstances, cultural differences, and localisation needs in a globalised world.
  • Proven skills in project management, time management, interpersonal communication, coaching, problem‑solving, and working under pressure.
  • Ability to interact with external and internal resources to ensure projects are completed on time and per client specifications.
  • Ability to navigate translation and business management tools, web interfaces, read briefs and instructions, enter data, download and upload files.
  • Ability to provide basic technical support to users of translation and business management systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with operating systems and Office 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of Church doctrine, policies, and ecclesiastical organization.
  • Knowledge of word processing, graphic production, and language‑recording best practices is a plus.
