Job summary

Unipart is seeking a S/4 Senior PP/PP-DS Consultant for a field-based role in the UK. You will configure, test, and document PP/PP-DS processes, ensuring best-practice SAP standard work, and support pre-sales data and demo environments for cloud SAP solutions.

The role requires expertise in SAP PP/PP-DS, exposure to S/4HANA migrations, and familiarity with Signavio and WalkMe. Travel nationally and occasionally internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in SAP PP/PP-DS or APO-PPDS with S/4HANA migration exposure.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate Methodology and pre-sales data/demo work.

Responsibilities

• Configure and document PP/PP-DS tasks including BOMs, routings, MRP and capacity planning.
• Support pre-sales by creating demo data and maintaining environments for SAP solutions.
• Follow SAP Activate deployment paths and update transport documents in Cloud ALM.
• Document process mappings using Signavio and run local adoption workflows with WalkMe.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and create system test scenarios.
• Prepare user stories and local walkthroughs for client evaluations.

S/4 Senior PP / PP-DS Consultant

Location: Field Based

Salary: £85,000 per annum plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme

About the Role

As S/4 Senior PP/PP-DS Consultant you will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and documenting the functional and business process steps within the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/PP-DS) workstream. You will ensure that daily delivery tasks follow ‘best practice’ SAP standard processes and support overall practice goals, executing system configurations, assisting in user testing, and reliably delivering tasks under guidance.

As part of your key responsibilities, you’ll:

• Assist with day-to-day functional configuration, testing, and debugging of S/4HANA PP/PP-DS modules including BOMs, routings/recipes, MRP, production orders, capacity planning, DS planning board, heuristics, and optimiser settings.
• Support the broader pre-sales capability by preparing sample transactional data and maintaining demo environments for Private and Public Cloud SAP solutions.
• Follow standard deployment paths utilising SAP Activate tools and templates, ensuring all tasks, risks, and transport documents are updated within Cloud ALM.
• Assist in documenting business process mapping activities, utilising Signavio output to understand process flows and executing localised user‑adoption workflows via tools like WalkMe.
• Participate in and contribute content towards internal knowledge‑sharing sessions, practice capability tracking, and system test scenarios.
• Assist in setting up localised system walk‑throughs and preparing user stories for prospective client evaluation sessions.

About You

We’d love you to have the following skills and experience,

• SAP PP/PP-DS or APO-PPDS consulting experience, with exposure to at least one S/4HANA migration or implementation project.
• Foundational understanding of the SAP Activate Methodology, with associated entry‑level certifications in SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing or Advanced Planning highly regarded.
• Experience or exposure to system prototyping, building demo test scripts, and data staging in support of pre sales processes.
• Exposure to process modeling platforms such as SAP Signavio and digital adoption tools such as WalkMe.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally and occasionally internationally as required to support on‑site project testing, Go‑Live preparation, and hypercare support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent.
