Job summary

INDEDU is seeking a Russell Group Graduate Learning Mentor for a high-achievement secondary school in the Kenley area, South London. You’ll support students’ progress in and out of class and collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff.

The role is full-time, long-term and term-time only, with a weekly salary of £575–£600. This is an excellent stepping stone for graduates pursuing teaching, educational psychology or youth support.

Qualifications

• A Russell Group University graduate.
• A 1st Class or 2:1 degree in any subject.
• Strong academic credentials throughout education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people.
• The ability to build positive relationships with secondary-aged students.
• An interest in teaching, educational psychology, mentoring or youth support.
• A proactive, professional and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group intervention sessions.
• Supporting students in lessons across a variety of subject areas.
• Helping pupils who require additional support to achieve their academic targets.
• Encouraging positive attitudes towards learning and achievement.
• Supporting behaviour, attendance and student engagement initiatives.
• Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams.
• Assisting students with organisation, revision strategies and study skills.
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to staff.
• Acting as a positive role model within the school community.
