Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Runner to bridge kitchen and front‑of‑house, delivering food and drinks promptly and ensuring a superior guest experience for members.

You will keep service areas spotless, assist the team during service, and build relationships with members to provide personalised service.

This role offers weekly pay, staff discounts, health/dental plans, and ongoing training and events, with opportunities to grow within a premium hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high‑end dining environment.
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage, including wine service.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a hands‑on approach.
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.

The Role…

At Soho House, a Runner plays a vital supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of service between the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams. As a key link in the dining experience, the Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the service areas. Your main responsibility is to assist the waiting staff and make sure the member gets a superior experience. You will deliver food orders from the kitchen (or drinks orders from the bar) to members’ tables, acting as a point of contact between the kitchen/bar and the floor.

Key duties…

• Bring food/drink quickly from the kitchen/bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment
• Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polishing cutlery ensuring they are ready for service.
• Preparing any additions to tables in advance (preparing lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions etc)
• Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.
• Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.

What We Are Looking For...
